1. Team Idea Pitch: Luxury Jewelry Commercial - Snake Ring

As a team, we chose to create our own luxury jewelry advertisement. Bvlgari Jewelry's Serpenti collection was our biggest inspiration product/aesthetic-wise, and we chose the iconic snake ring as our product. We created some preliminary storyboards with this idea of the story. After discussing themes, we decided to use the Chinese calendar as a concept for this project. The past year was the year of the dragon, and this next year will be of the snake. Through this concept, our newest version was born. The ring will first be seen being held by a magnificent dragon statue, the statue then disintegrates causing the ring to fall into an immersive journey. The ring rolls through tree branches, turning them gold, then falls gracefully through leaves. The ring is then found on a natural, rocky scene for the final product beauty shot of the advertisement.

2. Look Development Mood Board Design

I was in charge of creating the look development mood board for this project, based on the themes, color palettes, and lighting references we had discussed/observed as a team. Our color palette mainly consists of emerald green, gold, silver, and black. I chose lighting inspiration that felt dramatic and dynamic, to further emphasize a luxurious mood throughout the advertisement.

3. Two Pre-visualization Shots (Leaf Animation + Final Product Shot)

I had the task of creating two of the shots for the pre-visualization of the ad, the first was the shot where the ring falls through multiple leaves at a medium-shot length. The second was the final product shot, where the ring's beauty is showcased at a close-up angle. I used Houdini FX to create a flip-book for both shots.
