Week 4: Green Screen Test Shoot + Environment Progress
This past weekend, we had our test shoot at the green screen stage at the SCAD Savannah Film Studios, in order to get some test shots and plan accordingly for the real shoot day to be as prepared as possible. We were able to meet some of the film students who are going to be contributing to this project, as well as the actress who will be playing the fairy. During this shoot, my official title was an assistant lighting supervisor, but I ended up doing anything the crew needed from me, including assisting with some practical FX like wind and taking behind-the-scenes photos. It was an awesome day of collaboration and teamwork to get some pre-planning done.

In terms of environment work in Unreal Engine, I rendered out these really simple and rough back plate shots for Sydney, our lead Compositor, to be able to do some rough comps of some of the shots we got from test shoot day.

I also incorporated this snowy rock model into the scene. I added it to the PCG graph to randomly generate clumps around the landscape, as well as this large individual rock that for now is acting as the cliff the Bunny scene will happen on.

I also put down some scaled cubes around the rock to block out the landscape and I imported this group of models below into Maya to send to the 3D animator for the Bunny for spatial reference.
