Feedback From Mentors
1. FX
- Vary the scale of the particle trail in Shot 1
- Snake particles in Shot 2 feel flat
2. Lighting + Matte Painting
- Shot 1's key to fill ratio is great
- Add large area light for tree branch
- Shot 2 ring flickering in the beginning
- Shot 2 matte painting feels flat, needs more atmosphere
- Matte painting in general are too dark
3. Color + Compositing + Animation
- Add glow to particles in Shot 1
- Too much motion blur in Shot 2
- Add glints for diamonds in comp
- Achieve better blacks to whites range of color
- Ring animation in Shot 2: Smooth ease in to rolling
- More range of values in diamonds
4. Look Development
- Tree branch shader looks low resolution
- Ring framing for Shot 3 gets too close to edges, scale down

1. Shaders
Jade Shader and Jade Scale Shader
- since the lighting by Zane Kidwell changed a bit this week, I edited the Jade shader to have a bit more subsurface and edited the scale value.
- I also edited the Jade scale shader, since the edits to the main shader required me to re-match
- I asked Veronica Ramirez to desaturate the Jade scales in comp, or I can re-render this week.

Wood Tree Branch Shader
- I edited the tree branch shader's displacement by using the cavity texture map that had more detail to address the feedback of the low quality of some areas of the branch
- I also lowered the roughness of the shader, but I ended up asking Veronica Ramirez in comp to turn down the specularity

I simply scaled down the ring to improve the margins as the feedback suggested
